#2012TaughtMe

  1. Take a risk.Life is no fun if you don’t take chances. You’ll be stuck doing the same things over and over again. You won’t get to experience the world fully. This year, I can say I took a lot of risks. From applying for an AVP position, to the chance of a lifetime – being in love. It wasn’t a fun ride all year round but it’s definitely worth it. I wouldn’t be who I am right now if I didn’t take the chances that I took. :)
  2. Have fun. Don’t take life too seriously. You’ll end up getting depressed or something. Life isn’t all-business all the time. Sometimes, you have to, as they say it, stop and smell the roses. Spend time with the people you love. Do something you enjoy. Be badass once in a while. ;) After what you did, you’ll probably feel a little bad but in the long run, you’ll proudly share these (mis)adventures with your friends. :D
  3. You don’t learn everything in a classroom. Explore learning opportunities outside the classroom. After all, how can you learn about the world if you’re just sitting inside a room? The experiences I’ve had from being a CompSAt officer to volunteering for several outreach programs and attending seminars are things that are never taught in a classroom.
  4. Be patient.Everything happens in due time. Just wait. Trust me. ;)
